But I think Cory and other spouses who don't normally go on astronomical outings, might enjoy a group jaunt like this. I don't think a lot of people will be photographing the eclipse; at least, when we went to the annular in New Mexico, it was largely a viewing experience. I had my 8-inch along and don't think I bothered to track. For something as short as a series of eclipse photos I don't think I would even need auxiliary power for my laptop, but would for my SBIG camera -- just one battery.
