Patrick Beautiful photo! Thanks for posting. As I mentioned in my "frustrated" post I looked for PANSTARRS in the dark skies of Montana, where it was quite high in the morning, but no luck. I even tried some long exposure photography with my camera riding piggy back to see if I could pick it up like I used to back in March. What do you estimate the brightness of that central blob to be? I only have a 10"SCT so maybe it's outside my range anyway. Thanks Dion ________________________________ From: Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> To: utah astronomy listserve utah astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, May 31, 2013 5:03 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] PANSTARRS this morning A quick shot of the comet before closing this morning. http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/C_2011_L4.2013MAY31.JPG I hope someone here with wide-feild capabilities can try this comet. patrick _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
