Chuck, All this time you just assumed it was the cigarette smoke clouding your view. Now that the smoke is gone, your view is still clouded, eh? ;o) I know this is OT, but it's common knowledge that long term computer use degrades eyesight. I even have a pair of glasses made especially for computer use; the focus is out to the end of my arms (much better than reading glasses). It has saved my life at work, since I sit at one of these dumb things all day long. My eyesight started to go south about age 30, but I'd been using a computer for about 7 years by then. However, I still manage to observe pretty well without glasses at the eyepiece, especially with my left eye (less astigmatism). There, I brought it back On topic! Any list members notice a degradation in their eyesight once they started using a computer regularly?
If you have been using one regularly for more than 10 years, please do not reply.
This is really OT, so reply off-list if you have a tale to tell me, or can cite reliable published research.
Thanks
C.
