Mat's Dad

I know there are people on here who know Mat H., Mr. ATM and so you are aware, his Dad who is 81 had a massive stroke on Sunday while driving and was in a horrible car crash. As of now it doesn't look good but no word. Please keep Mat and his family in your thoughts, prayers or feelings. Here's hoping that the best for Mat's Dad and his family comes to pass.

Nocturne Observatory - New Image - M64 The Black Eye Galaxy

Hi all. I finished another image with my new homemade astrograph. It is a deep version of M64, aka the Black Eye Galaxy. This is a cool galaxy that suggests the remnants of a major galactic collision. The inner part of the galaxy rotates one direction and the outer part rotates the opposite direction. Pretty cool. The image turned out good, and I hope you will take a look at it. My scope is finally dialed in and performing at or near its peak. Interesting about the proposal to check out a new dining facility... I know of personal experience the Pastromi sandwich is the "cocaine" of several of the members and if nothing else that should entice some of us to the new facility... Unfortunately.... I too have a previous engagement on Friday... it is the beginning of the holiday weekend and I will be at my mountain place until monday.. but... certainly would be interested in attending another time... Also... the idea of a "dinner" time engagement is interesting... perhaps we could get more of our friends to attend... along with spouses (I know Joe... Cory always brings you anyway)... Keep us posted...
