Who counted votes at SLAS meeting?

Hi folks, I'm having a senior moment here. Ugh. Last month at the SLAS general membership meeting two people counted votes up on the stage in the primary election. One was Daniel Turner but I can't remember who the other person was. Anyone here happen to remember who that was? Thanks, patrick

That's correct. The camera flash LED's are the main flashlight. The screen itself does the rest of the fancy stuff. Wayne A. Antelope Attack and Sea Cliff Collapse for Fun

Not specifically astronomy related, but this video made me think of my experiences this summer down at Pit n Pole. For the whole summer there has been a beautiful buck antelope that often joins in the observing by strutting by and huffing and puffing. Then I saw this video over on the Weather Channel well looking at some forecasts for the next 5 and 10 days. I know this video happen in South Africa but can you image a Pronghorn buck ramming into a dob like this antelope does the mountain bike rider? Actually it looks like the antelope was trying to jump over the bicyclist but that failed. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/10/hit-by-buck-mountain-biking-video_… For those into Geology here is an interesting video from YouTube and the BBC. Off topic- Need to find Hyfax sources

Hello everyone, I was wondering if any of you knew anything about Hyfax material I'm asking for a friend personally I've never heard of the stuff. He sent me this link for it http://www.tse-ok.com/natural-protech-1000 But as you can see it's pretty pricey. Any tips on a cheaper or even more local place to get this stuff? I appreciate it. Howard PS: To mention some astronomy it's been fun this week watching the moon in the morning as I take the kids to school it's led to some very good teaching opportunities about Lunar phases and the Earths rotation.

SR-14 rock slide

I don't know if all of you have heard about this but early Saturday morning there was a real bad rock slide on SR-14. As of now, it looks like it will take months to repair. Over 1700 feet of road was damaged. This may impact the 2012 annular eclipse. I know some people were planning on going to Knarraville or Newcastle from Bryce Canyon. The only way to get to Bryce Canyon from Cedar City now is to take SR-20 to 89 then south to highway 12. Or in my case, go to Kanab and then head up 89 to highway 12. I haven't checked the Tribune or Deseret News yet to see if they covered the story. I hope to road will be open by May but at this point nobody seems to know. Clear Skies, Debbie
