Found this over at Cloudy Nights so I thought I would post it here and see how others do with it. Not perfect as I think some that are included shouldn't be and vice versa. Utah Total Lunar Eclipse December 21, 1:37AM For those of you who enjoyed this morning's dramatic partial lunar eclipse, you may wish to mark your calendar for the Dec. 21, 2010 total lunar eclipse. This eclipse will be (a) total and (b) at its greatest when the Moon is just past transiting and at an altitude of about 71 degrees. Of course, the usual winter weather disclaimer apply. Building your own light box

Daystar and Coronado?

I've heard of double stacking a Coronado but I just saw an image on page 77 of the new S&T that the caption says was taken "with stacked DayStar and Coronado" filters. Any ideas how DayStar and Coronado filters can be stacked? If we can figure it out we could try it at SPOC. patrick p.s. 30 minutes to the start of umbral eclipse and the skies remain clear. Fingers crossed...
