This chassis is connected to 2 UPS-s in case of 1 fails another will work. What will happen if voltage (or amperage or freq.) of one UPS is different from another?
As long as both UPSs are running within normal tolerances, fail over should work as expected. Note I have observed powersupply fail over tripping over itself in the past using 130A 120v powersupplies on dual feeds. Both power supplies were green, power down one and the chassis rebooted... so your milage may vary. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, even if they are on the same power source. ok here is the situation... i have a chassis with 11 hiper dsp's active, dual hiper arc's and a hiper nmc and dual 130's i had 10 pri's running fine for the last two months. added the 11th pri yesterday. it seems to run fine for a few hours, fills up with callers etc. then it will get less "busy" than the rest of them, until it has nobody on it. when i check it all of the channels are remote out of service. if i do a hardware reset it goes back to normal for a few hours and then it does it all over again. i have checked all of a the settings and i can't figure out what is wrong. it seems to be identical to the other 10 pri's/hiper dsp's same version etc. can someone help me please? thanks matthew matthew de Jongh president the spa! internet voice (413) 539-9818 www.the-spa.com
Maybe have the telco confirm the new PRI is setup exactly the same as the rest of them....assuming you checked ALL the config settings to confirm they are the same. Best bet would be to just load all the settings from one of the other dsps...you can do that from tcm.
