question regarding a syslog message
Anyone know of a document with all the HiperArc syslog messages and their descriptions? I'm getting this message and am wondering why ... Facility "Telnet", Level "UNUSUAL":: tel_icb_queue(): bad state. James MacDonald Email: james.macdonald@attcanada.com

That's something that no one outside of 3Com can really explain. The line "tel_icb_queue()" is referring to a C function call in the code. Unless you have access to the ARC source code, there's not much someone on the "outside" can tell you about that. It's not necessarily a fatal error, it looks more like spurious debugging output. If anyone from 3Com is lurking here, maybe they can chime in and tell you what that means... Charles

By the way...what revision of the code are you running on the arc for curiousity sake. I personally don't but maybe try setting the telnet facility to verbose and see if you spot anything that narrows it down. set facility telnet loglevel verbose show events Todd -----Original Message----- From: usr-tc-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:usr-tc-admin@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of MacDonald, James Sent: Wednesday, October 16, 2002 1:09 PM To: 'usr-tc@mailman.xmission.com' Subject: [USR-TC] question regarding a syslog message Anyone know of a document with all the HiperArc syslog messages and their descriptions?
