I'm attempting to do a firmware upgrade on my systems in the hopes of fixing the consistent problem I'm having with users that just won't go away. I upgraded the code on my DSPs without an issue, and it cleared up tonnes of other issues. When trying to upgrade the firmware, I connect to the chassis using TCM, I tell it to upgrade the .dmf file I have with the newer version of the code, but after it gets to about 90% finished, it stops with "Access Violation" and the ARC remains unavailable for about 20 minutes. I have the 8MB/64MB version, and I'm trying to upgrade from V4.2.32 to V5.0.80 (the latest version I have available, since I don't have a service contract with commworks.) I don't know if I'm running out of space.. list files tells me I have 3783 free sectors, and the file is 3512234 -- I'm assuming a sector is 1024 bytes, which would mean I have 3873792 bytes free, 300k more than I need to flash. Unless, (and I'm not sure if this is fact or not), "min free sectors" means it won't let you write the system down below that amount. Despite all that, the whole reason for my upgrade is the system says, "[psm_open] Endpt mismatch, releasing link" on particular users (specifically, users who're logging in more than once, although, sometimes, it'll let them dupe login 5 accounts, and choke on the 6th, other times, it'll choke on the 2nd. In *all* events, however, it's a duplicate login that does it.) This error comes up when I do a set facility ppp loglevel unsual, show events. Any direction would be great.
