Hi, I am having problem with a Total Control box (Dual E1 PRI, Quadmodems, NetServer and NMC). It accepts call, the modem handshakes properly, then it can not connect to NetServer. Nothing appears on terminal window. I have three similar boxes working just fine and I have tries to replicate the settings from the working box but still, I can not change one of the options: When I do show s5, Command> show s5 --------------------- Current Status - Port S5 ------------------- Status: IDLE Input: 0 Parity Errors: 0 Output: 0 Framing Errors: 0 Pending: 0 Overrun Errors: 0 Active Configuration Default Configuration -------------------- --------------------- Port Type: Netwrk Netwrk (Dial In) Login Service: Telnet Telnet Device Service: Netdata@6000 Netdata@6000 Modem Stat: READY ACTIVE Databits: 8 8 Stopbits: 1 1 Parity: none none Flow Control: None None Modem Control: on on HDLC Framing: PPP in modem PPP in modem SLIP Framing: SLIP in NETServer SLIP in NETServer Remote Host: 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Interface: Unassigned (PPP,Quiet,C (PPP,Quiet,Compress) Mtu: 0 1500 Async Map: L:00000000 R:00000000 00000000 -- Press Return for More -- Modem Presence: Modem is present Init Script: (None) Init When?: Never Login Prompt: welcome Autolog Name: off Idle Timeout: 15 min 0 sec Login Message: 'Welcome' Dial Group: 0 TAP type: OFF OFF It shows 'Interface: Unassigned', whereas, on the working box, it shows 'Interface: ptp5'. Please help. Regards Indiver
I don't know anything about netserver but on the hiperard that is a classic symptom of the router not having ownership of the card. A list chassis would show the slot giving problems as empty. -- Lewis Bergman Texas Communications 4309 Maple ST. Abilene, TX 79602 325-695-6962 ext 115
