Hi Kirti, I'm not an expert in working with TC, but I think I can help you out. First you need to configure the NMC to give it an IP address, which you do through the console connection on the back. Once you've done that, you can use the TCM software (Total Control Manager) to configure the rest of the chassis from a Windows box. As long as your whole chassis is HiPer (including the NMC) you should be fine. If you, like me, are in the unfortunate situation of having Hiper DSP and ARC cards, but a regular NMC, you're in for a bit of a rough ride, as in that case you do seem to have to use the console interface of the HiperArc to configure the DSP mappings. I have read and re-read quite a few documents on TC. My understanding was that I could configure all the cards in a TC Chassis (HiPer NMC, HiPer ARC, HiPer DSP, Quad, etc) from one place namely Network Management Card (NMC) software. As I spend the entire week reading, it does not seem that way and that each card in the TC chassis has to be configured individually.
