RE: USR-TC Digest, Vol 24, Issue 4 Kris way to see what numbers my users are connecting
Kris, I take it that your LEC is randomly sending you calls from any of the numbers you have riding on your T1. I had the same problem. Get on the console port of your T1. From there you can assign your phone numbers to answer on a single channel or a group of channels. I don't have all the details in front of me right now, but it is a 3 step process and very simple. Once it is complete you can highlight all your modems in Total Control Manager then -> Performance -> Session Monitor, which refreshes every minute by default. Session Monitor already keeps a continuous log for number of connections, failures, etc. also has PRI and Caller ID info if you have then configured although it only reports the last call received. -----Original Message----- From: usr-tc-request@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:usr-tc-request@mailman.xmission.com] Sent: Monday, February 07, 2005 6:59 PM To: usr-tc@mailman.xmission.com Subject: USR-TC Digest, Vol 24, Issue 4 Send USR-TC mailing list submissions to usr-tc@mailman.xmission.com To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/usr-tc or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to usr-tc-request@mailman.xmission.com You can reach the person managing the list at usr-tc-owner@mailman.xmission.com When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of USR-TC digest..." Subject: [USR-TC] Web Connection problem Hello List: Please /help/ with this strange problem. I am testing a 3COM box. When I dial-in onto 3COM & connect to http://www.tib.com (which is our web site), it connects with no problem. Similarly, I can connect to numerious other web sites. However, when I try connecting www.msn.com or www.riteaid.net, it never connects. There are few other web sites with the same problem. When I try to sign-in into MSN Messenger, same problem. Such connection can not be made. I have spent the last two days on this problem trying to figure out what to do. FYI, I can issue: HiPer> resolve name msn.com and it does resolve the address. Similarly, I can resolve address of 'riteaid.net' and just about any other web site I have tried. I have disabled 'cache' & ncache' on HiPer ARC. I have no idea what else to do. Please /help/ or give suggestions!!\ FYI, I have no such problem with our production system which uses a different type of dial-in modem bank (instead of 3COM). That's where the problem usually is. Seems like RADIUS servers that have that set by default have it set to something like 576, which will cause the problems you're describing. -----Original Message----- From: Kirti S.
