ok. after much hair pulling and long phone calls to the telco the problem with my hiper dsp's having sporadic modems being out of service has been fixed. joel at fox computers figured it out, i had upgraded the hiper dsp's in our hiper arc chassis and then while i was at it i upgraded 4 hiper dsp's in our old quad modem / dual pri chassis. it turns out that the code 3.5.12? appears to NOT be compatible/happy with the quad digital/netserver chassis. so hopefully this will spare anyone else out there from going what we went through. i can't recommend joel highly enough, he really saved my butt by figuring out this problem. i just wish i had called him sooner about this! matthew
