Any body using Quad Digital modems for POTS Dial up?
I have been told in the past that it was possible to take the Quad DIGITAL modem with quad analog nic to terminate POTS lines. Can anyone here verify that this would work? If so, is there a specific model of the nac that supports this or is it all based on the code load? Any information would be helpful ********************************************************************* Steve Rivera IM: srivera711 (877)WRCANET x102 for more product info got www.wrca.net WRCA , Inc. - 481 Wright Debow Rd. It is not possible. It does not work. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen Rivera - WRCA.Net" <steverivera@wrca.net> To: "usr-tc@lists.xmission.com" <usr-tc@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2003 9:27 PM Subject: [USR-TC] Any body using Quad Digital modems for POTS Dial up?

Hi Steve, Never tested myself but doubt that it would work. I've compared the Quad Digital, Quad Analog and Quad Analog/Digital modems... and while they look like they use the same base circuit board, the Digital only and Analog only modems have missing clusters of components. Cheers,

One more note: Quad Digital won't take "nic" configuration. It will remain "priTdm" in TCM. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Cisar" <mcisar@iul.net> To: "'Discussion relating to the 3Com/US Robotics Total Controlmodemsystems.'" <usr-tc@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2003 10:47 PM Subject: RE: [USR-TC] Any body using Quad Digital modems for POTS Dial up?

Thanks to tall that replied. I was skeptical based on the code. Revisions issued for them were not defined by card type but by board type. single sided or double sided in reference to chip placement. But I guess that puts an end to that. Thanks again. At 11:47 AM 9/17/2003 -0600, you wrote:
