RE: [USR-TC] Experiences with newest code?
I'm having good luck with: DSP: 3.5.105 ARC: 5.3.107 NMC: 8.6.3 Had not heard of 3.5.109 or 5.3.110, but sure would like to get my hands on them if they're out there. Anyone have these? - Joel -----Original Message----- From: I. Okay, I've recently upgraded all my cards that were lagging on software versions, but now my boss is upset because I upgraded to the newest releases that I've heard people refer to as stable, rather than the absolute bleeding edge. So I told him I'd ask around, and see if I could get other people's opinion of the latest firmware. Right now we've got: HiperDSP: 3.5.105 HiperARC: 5.3.3 HiperNMC: 8.6.3 NMC(486): 7.1.8 We don't have any problems as far as I know--except possibly one with NFAS, but I think that's really a telco issue--but my boss would like to upgrade. So I'm looking for opinions about the TCS 4.5 service releases and/or TCS 4.7. Can anyone tell me if the following versions have worked well/failed spectacularly for them? HiperDSP: 3.5.109, 3.7.4 HiperARC: 5.3.110, 5.7.2 HiperNMC: 10.1.5 _______________________________________________ USR-TC mailing list USR-TC@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/usr-tc
In the DSP's what is the "normal" setting people use here? (1) = none (2) = autoEnable (3) = enable (4) = mnpWoCompression I used to have this set to none. I have recently changed it to autoenable. Seems like we are hearing of more drop offs than usual. Anyone have some ideas here? Actually while I am on this point, does any one have a good reference for what should be changed (and why) from default settings if anything if anything at all. Actually hired 3com some time back to send a person out to help, but they sent an install tech who didn't know much. Any help would be appreciated

We are seeing the same thing occasionally. Not sure what it is and cannot pinpoint a specific customer / modem causing this so far. Wm.
