Hopefully someone here can help me. I'm running a USR Total Control chassi (obviously) and I changed the administrative password on it the other day. I logged in while still keeping my old session to verify the new password worked. It did. I then went to log into it 3 days later, and failed. Every password that system has *EVER* had I have tried, all to no avail. If I type in root, and one particular password it used to have, it doesn't give me a login failed message, but it just disconnects me. I have a console cable plugged into the nmc, but it only outputs debug messages on boot, and doesn't let me actually do anything. A physical hardware reset did nothing. Any ideas? So are you locked out of the hiper arc then? Have you tried the username adm? or... 1.Use the RADIUS server and create a user with administrative rights, this is done with 3COM RADIUS choosing the Service type as Administrative in the user tab. 2.Add a tftp client to the Total Control HiPer ARC, and download the QuickSetup.cfg file, this file will tell you the login password and other data that are configured on the Total Control HiPer Arc. 3. If this still does not work then reflash the code via zmodem, this will erase the flash. The administrator user with radius sounds like my best bet. However, I'm using a different radius server. Would you (or anyone else) happen to know the Attribute value RADIUS pair I would need to return to the HiPer to get it to realise I'm the admin?
