RE: [usr-tc] HyperArc static ips
ok ... just an FYI ... I did the following: 1. Created an IP pool for my user with a single ip in it. - add ip pool staticusers iniTIAL_POOL_ADDRESS x.x.x.x size 1 2. Created a local user (ppp) - add user fixedip netWORK_SERVICE ppp password fixedip 3. associated the local user to said IP pool. - add addreSS_POOL user fixedip poOL_NAME staticusers as for the 2nd option ... we use BridgeWater Radius and that system has the capability of associating users to specific ips. The IP block will be assigned out of our portable ip block range and the individual /32's will be specifically routed. Users can connect in Halifax one week and in Vancouver the next and have the same ip address assigned, yet still route locally via the local core network. I have 2 questions:
1. Anyone ever setup a static ip via local username on a hyperarc? Anyone have a config for this? 2. Ongoing, has anyone ever setup a global static ip server? i.e. a Server that acts as a DHCP-like server for a number of hyperarcs so that users can log into anywhere an get the same ip?
thanks
