Ok, been away from total control issues for tooooo long. Now I'm wanting to upgrade to v.92 after paying for several years of software maintenance and NOT using it. DOH!@#&$*#@^* Now I'm concerned about all the warnings to upgrade to TCS 4.3 before upgrading to TCS 4.5. Here's my question. TCM wouldn't let me upgrade to save my life, but I did successfully z-modem the TCS4.5 code on an hipernmc, hiperarc and hiperdsp. They all boot fine and the chassis takes calls. But my quick test had an explainable problem (I think) but I didn't find it until after I swapped back in the old harc and hdsp (had wrong netmask on dial ip pool causing problem with rip announcements to cisco, the other basic stuff worked). I'm planning another attempt with the netmask corrected. Since I still have old hardware on the old code I'm safe and only risk trashing the three cards I've upgraded. But still back where I started, with v.92 code but no v.92 yet. Oh the joys of delegating responsibility! Has anyone successfully jumped across several TCS versions before and lived to tell about it? I haven't pleaded to utstar yet to see if they'll let me have the in-between versions, plus I'd hate to have to do so many stinking upgrades anyway to get to TCS4.5. Plus without hardware upgrades, I think I have the latest software I'm going to get. --jeff

Some others on the list might know from what to what. -- Lewis Bergman Texas Communications 4309 Maple St. Abilene, TX 79602-8044 915-695-6962 ext 301 800-299-6962
