We had the same mysterious problem. It struck at random, and intermittently. We were never able to duplicate it successfully at the office! Anyway, we power-cycled the chassis (actually performing a cold restart), and the problem resolved itself. -- -Tim --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tim Huffman -----------JORSM Internet, Internet Services Network Ops Manager -----7 Area Codes in Chicagoland timh@jorsm.com --------100 Mbps+ Connectivity, 56K-DS3 (219)322-2180 ---------Quality Service, Affordable Prices http://www.jorsm.com -----Serving Gov, Biz, Indivds Since 1995 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michelle Mogil said:
Folks:
Beginning in March, I've seen a dramatic rise in the number of complaints among my users. The main gripe is dropped connections:
sometimes after 2 minutes, sometimes after 5, but usually before 10 minutes. I have been monitoring the cards and watching connections come and go, but cannot seem to put my finger on any one piece of equipment. The nature of the problem is both random and intermittent: two of my favorite things. Has anyone else had a problem with this? We currently running:
HiPerNMC: 8.2.96 HiPerARC: 5.2.9 HiPerDSP: 3.1.7
and I plan to upgrade this week to
HiPerNMC: 8.6.3 HiPerARC: 5.3.110 HiPerDSP: 3.5.109
Any clues?
