Problem with USR Sportster 56K and v.92
I recently upgraded our TC chassis to NMC 8.6.3, HARC 5.3.110, HDSPs 3.5.109. I enabled v.44 data compression and all the v.92 settings on the HDSPs. I had a few problems with folks staying connected while the v.92 PCM Upstream setting was enabled. Basically they would connect fine then get dropped after a few minutes with a failure to retrain error. So, I disabled PCM and everything seemed fine. Newest problem is with a Sportster 56K modem. It will start to handshake then a second or two into the handshake it will give a long, high pitched tone and fail to connect. If I disable the v.92 master setting on the HDSP it will connect just fine. Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions? Walt ----------------------------------------------- Walter N.
