Got the following email earlier and didn't have an answer. Anyone here have a good suggestion? Quick question, Do you know of a good working customer end modem to use on a ISDN line to dial into TC100 (HiPerARC, HiPerDSP,HiPerNMC) gear? I hear that Verizon is going to offer a test ISDN flat rate service to selected 'rural' comunities in my service area (Northern NH) to satisfy political presure to provide 'Broadband' services where no other affordable High Speed conectivity is available. I'd like to be able to offer aN install package with CPE to take advantage of this "_new_" ;-) product in the three towns they (Verizon) are going to run this test case in.
We've had good luck with Zyxel ISDN routers on our pool of TCs. Nice simple cpe's that are quick to conf and quick to flash in the event of a customer mucking with the conf. Joshua Coombs GWI Networking On Tuesday 28 January 2003 03:59 pm, Joel - Fox Computers wrote:

Jeff McAdams or anybody else who may be able to help. Jeff, I work with Kirk Mitchell at Keystone Connect and he had refferred me to you for some advise. Below is an error that I am recieving when trying to access the user information in 3com radius. Once you get into the user info you can add/change or remove users but you can not access the tabs that are normally available at the top of the user info dialog box. If you have any advise on this I would love to hear it. DDE Server Window: MSACCESS.EXE- Invalid DLL Entryupoint The Dynamic link library is not written correctly. The stack pointer has been left in an inconsistant state. The entrypoint should be declared as Winapi or STDcall. Select Yes to fail the DLL load. Select no to countinue execution. Selecting no may cause the application to operate incorrectly. Thanks for your help. Ryan (Keystone Connect)

I'm jumping in late, but just wanted to add that we have customer using 3Com, Ascend, and Netgear ISDN TAs and routers on our total control gear working fine. I agree with Brian at Solunet, it's too bad the Pipeline has been EOL'd, that was always our first recommendation to customers. But when you can find them, they still work great. Don't know what others think, but based on experience I tell customers here to stay away from the Motorola Bitsurfer model line. It may be just bad luck for us, but we've had nothing but trouble trying to get customers set up with these units. We have been seeing an increase in ISDN interest in the last few months. Would be nice if SBC would lower their flat rate in Northern California, but people take what they can get, and right now, a lot of the area we service is either too far out for DSL and can't get cable. That's all I have to say about that :) -Lee
