I was going to say.if you're seeing only ? marks when viewing the chassis via TCM then it may be the software revision you're running. Make sure you have the same TCS revision running on the cards AND TCM. Subject: RE: [USR-TC] NMC The nmc is only necessary for management. Unless quads act differently than HiperDSPs, you will not need the NMC to function. When I've seen the question marks, usually TCM or the NMC software is older than the HiperDSPs/quads. Since quads are pretty old, I'm going to say you should try to get a newer version of TCM. Your TCM version should be at least 6.0.23, NMC should be at least 6.0.9 You may need to static assign the DSPs on the ARCs/Netservers. -----Original Message----- From: usr-tc-bounces+adam=semo.net@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:usr-tc-bounces+adam=semo.net@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Shahrooz Sharghi Sent: Thursday, July 07, 2005 12:30 PM To: Discussion relating to the 3Com/US Robotics Total Control modemsystems. Subject: Re: [USR-TC] NMC I put NMC in another slot, even I can ping it and connect to it with TCM but it show "?" for every slots of chassis even blank slots. Also I tested it with another NIC but still the same results. Can I use this chassis without NMC or not? with E1 DSP and without E1 DSP.
