If it's only happening on 1 slot on 1 card I would suggest reloading the span/modem settings from another dsp in that box and reload the card. Only thing I can suggest. Both are ok: problem is that ONLY ONE slot isn't accepting calls after setting that traps. (I repeat that calls arrieve on ALL cards including this one, but on this card they dont get ppp or some other problem accure. What happens: user dials TC's number, call comes on one of the timeslots of this card, then this timeslot connects to modem, and it is seen from arc too - by list connections {slot:X/mod:Y DIALIN INVALID 00- -0000 00:00:00}and after some seconds user is disconnected even without trying to authenticate).
It happened earlier too, but not on all cards.
list chassis shows this for every card (including that with problem): Slot Owner Description Ports Type Console x YES 30 Channel High Density Modem 30 STATIC YES
sh nmc sett
NMC SETTINGS Chassis Awareness: DISABLED Dynamic Slot Assignment: DISABLED DSA Idle Rebalancing: DISABLED SNMP Forwarding: ENABLED

what's a "list chassis" and "show nmc settings" say?

Exactly. They hit TC (that slot and all others too) and authentication works ok, but on that slot nobody gets connected while on other slots everything is ok.

Not quite sure...does it appear like calls are still hitting the box,

not logging in? Is auth still working? _auth username password

Hello,
I am setting traps on incoming call, incoming call termination and failure (template 1), then I save Chassis to NMC NVRAM, then refreshing template 1 channels (template 1 channels are mapped to dsp), then save template 1 channels to nvram (dsp's), and saving dsp's modem settings to dsp's nvram.
After that my ARC is unable to accept dialers: list conn - shows just this "slot:X/mod:Y DIALIN INVALID 00- -0000 00:00:00" and after some seconds this user is dropped.
What is this? What can cause this?
Do anybody have the same problem?
