Hello folks,
I'm hoping one of you can help out as I haven't
been dealing with our total control hardware as of late. We have some sites that
are running fairly old code on them and we're considering upgrading. At
this point we're basically running TCS 3.6 on them. Since the recent
outbreak of worms and virus's we've been having issues with our NMC's going
unresponsive. I'm not exactly sure what's happening but taking into
account what they have been doing to some of our other gear I'm guessing the
NMC's are receiving a good number of ICMP packets and probably filling up their
memory and then crashing....just a guess.
I'm assuming the majority of people on this list
are using more current code and since I haven't seen anyone complaining of the
same scenario I'm thinking that somewhere a particular code might have addressed
some of these issues we're now seeing.
Can anyone confirm a code revision that addressed
anything like this for the NMC's? Also....can anyone tell me what the most
current code is that can run on our existing hardware without upgrading the
hardware (we might be willing to upgrade memory). Here's basically what
we're using:
HiperDSP (8MB dram / 2MB flash)
HiperArc (128MB dram / 16MB
flash)
Hiper and regular NMC's ( 16MB dram / 8 MB
flash)
130 amp PSU's
Thanks in advance,
Todd
