Is there a list available which lists any intermediary flash versions I may need to upgrade to before I can install the flash we intend to run? I have been told that there may be flash versions which may need to be installed "in steps" coming up to the latest version for the DSP cards, NMC, etc. I checked out the "Total Control Enhanced Data System" (thanks, Kirti) but unfortunately it does not cover which versions of flash may need to be upgraded before others. Does anyone know where this info resides, or maybe I can just go ahead and flash from any version up to current in one fell swoop. The documentation talks about updating, but doesn't mention anything about the possibility of needing intermediary flashes while upgrading. We happen to need to upgrade our Hyperarc from 5.0.9 to 5.3.3 and our hyper DSP's from 2.1.9 to 3.5.109. Thanks for the insight, - Jamie On Tue, 30 Sep 2003, Kirti S. Bajwa wrote:

I am new to 3Com TC and went through the same. Read the documentation "Total Control 1000 Enhanced Data system". It has all the information you need.
We did flash HiPer NMC and used Total Control Manager to up date the software for HiPer NMC, HiPer ARC & then HiPer DSP.

Our boss plopped a Total Control rack on our bench and wants us to flash it up to the most recent firmware available. Its got Hyper NMC, Hyper Arc, and Hyper DSP's. I was told by another technician that the NMC card should get flashed first, then the Arc, then the DSP's, otherwise I could seriously break something.
Going through the documentation at ustar.com, I can't seem to find anything which states what the proper flash order is. Can anyone confirm the order I listed is correct? Thanks,
- Jamie
