I am interested because, we too have a similiar situation. I have two complete chassis, both of which have been completely defaulted and reloaded with new firmware. And later re-defaulted and reloaded with an older firmware (just in case.) We spent two days on site, with the telco switch engineer (co is only one block away.) We were unable to solve the problem, installed some ancient ISPorte modems that answered on the first attempt with default settings. I was glad to see this resurface, as I have 2 complete chassis sitting in a broom closet at a remote pop 120 miles from our main office waiting for this to be solved. We are now running 3 CT1's into the ISPorte there, but I have left one spare CT1 in the T/C for testing. Please let us know what happens with the other two chassis. Are you able to replace the cards in the working chassis and still have it work? Thank you, -Wayne Wayne Griswold Network Administrator U.P.Logon Internet Computer Connection U.P. The problem wasn't configuration on the HiperDSP. Three chassis' later (all with different HiperDSP/ HiperArc and HiperNMC card sets) it is up and running. I don't know what the packetbus problem was. I'm hoping that a complete config wipe and reflash of all cards will bring my remaining 2 "broken" chassis back to life. Two chassis are doing the same thing. A third configured the same as the first two works fine. So I don't know what the problem was, just what it wasn't. Thanks to all who offered suggestions.
Thanks, Kevin. ------------------------------------------------------ Kevin Hemsley Systems Engineer Microserv Computer Technologies, Inc. kev@ida.net NF7J
