the good old +MS=v90 should clear that up. I have a RASH, a SLEW of people having trouble with the 4.5 code (dsp code .105?) and I am simply giving out lucent winmodems to correct the problem. This has happened a lot with dells (it CANT be my computer.. its brand new!) but +MS=v90 or a new lucent seems to fix the problem. I have v92 enabled, but nothing else in the v92 settings (PCM, MOH etc). I have yet to see a v92 conenction from TCM. My Patton kicks but with v92, but they are a small % of my dial in pool. I am in PA FWIW. -- Paul Farber Farber Technology farber@admin.f-tech.net Ph 570-628-5303 Fax 570-628-5545 On Wed, 12 Mar 2003, Joel - Fox Computers wrote:
I got a customer in one of those places can only get 28.8. Has always had excellent service, just slow connect rate. She just got a new Dell, and now takes her several tries to establish connection, and once connected she loses carrier frequently. I got the puter in my shop right now, probably going to throw a different modem in it for her.

Has anyone else noticed a common problem with new Dell computer with V92 capable modems? We seem to get calls from customers with V92 modems in Dell computers often. I don't do that much tech support anymore but I don't believe our tech support guys have come up with a quick fix.
