Couldn't agree more on these points either. The TC chassis' worked and kept working, there is definitely something to be said for that. I still have the first chassis we bought from USR... the old 45A chassis with separate fan tray loaded up with analog/digital quads. Most of the cards have migrated away now but we used that thing and used it hard for 6 or 7 years with the only problem being one dead quad. Built like tanks too... I had one that I'm positive UPS dropped out of a plane without a parachute... twice... I had to pry the leftmost card and the rightmost power supply out with a hammer and crowbar (no exaggeration!) but the chassis still worked 100% It's more the market conditions than functionality I think, for the smaller ISP's especially, that sees a lot of TC gear getting mothballed. When you can buy outsourced national ports for half of what you are paying for your local ports in one city... pretty much a no-brainer :-) Cheers,

-----Original Message----- The value has fallen over the years but the fact of the matter is I sell them all day long. All year long, for close to 10 years now. (Remember the Rack32 or the Cisco Clone AS5100???).
