I got this reply this morning. Hey - I'm running a pair of 70A DC ones, and I'd say - as opposed to some nutty estimates the telco might strap you too and/or Commworks, that with: - 4 dsp's - 1 HiperARC - 1 HiperNMC - dual 70a power supplies ...I'd say 10amps is quite safe to start, and it'll probably run at ~ 3amps or so. Maybe a half an amp per card added? Even that's all "pretty safe". SMT At 02:06 PM 3/13/2003 -0500, you wrote:
No one knows.. I asked the same question myself.
Looked up docs, etc there is nothing related to DC chassis of value.
I asked to be put on 25A -48VDC service (one for each PSU) and that is powering a fully loaded chassis. I haven't metered the circuit but around 25A should work.

For the 130A DC power sets. Whats the minimum LOAD-electrical current to start and run the TC1000? Whats the LOAD during running?
Please forgive me if my terms are wrong. Basically they dont want to blow it up. They have 50AMP DC channels.
