Try a > show authen co < , Local authentication works fine. Remote / Radius authentication fails. UID and passwords will auth first locally and if not a local user, they will go to radius. If the calls hang up right as the UID and pass are authed, sounds like shared secret to me. On Friday 03 January 2003 12:34 pm, you wrote:
Authentication works fine on this box. I still believe the problem is that the modems are showing operator status down when you dow a show interfaces from the command line.
This is old gear. It terminates 16 POTS lines onto v.34 modems. Netserver 16 and Netserver card are totally different animals.
I'm guessing there is some way to map the ds0's to modems via the netserver manager program.

Are your radius shared secrets correct?

Hi,
just visited this "bad guy", unfortunately the software is pretty outdated. So a couple of commands are not avail...
Sorry.
The only thing that stucks: all interfaces are operational down. And a HARC tries normally to authenticate itself to the other end with:
Netserver
One can see this via:
show system
=> system transmit authentication...
Perhaps you can go for more up-2-date software?
Regards, Oliver.
