I think I may have a solution.... The TC1000 with V4.1.11 will accept chap with md4 or md5 hash, So the Cisco, Nortel and Windows all work without problems. The TC1000 with V5.3.3 works only with CHAP MD5. The Cisco and Windows can check with MD5, but the Nortel ARN works only with MD4. Am I on the right track ? Is there any way to get V5.3.3 to accept MD4 hash? What version of ARC code would I need to downgrade to get MD4 Support? Thanks -Jim
I have a TC1000 with ARC 5.3.3/non-encr software.
I have configured the card to use chap. Here is my problem.
I can use a Cisco 1700 router to logon to the TC, I can use Windows to dial into the TC, but when I try to use a Nortel ARN to logon, I get a chap >failure mismatch.
I have another TC1000 with V4.1.11 that all can dial into without problems. I have tried to duplicate the configuration, but I must be missing something.
Any suggestions?
Thanks -Jim
