Todd: At your suggestion I turned on logging: set facility "user manager" loglevel verbose show events I added the user 'dave' and did a 'save all' no problem, no message. BUT, when I did the 'delete user' 'show user' 'save all' shown below, I got a message about file corruption. Sure enough there was user_settings.bad. A subsequent 'save all' went OK. I'm not sure what's is meant by 'corrupt' Do you? I have approx 400 users defined in this system. All with 'add user' (no Radius) Is this a problem? What do you suggest? Also...maybe try this: set facility "user manager" loglevel verbose show events and see if you notice anything strange when you add the users. Greetings: I have a "TotalControl" dial in server, running code version 4.2.32-1. When I add a new user from the CLI, "user_settings.cfg" gets updated and a file named: "user_settings.bad" also gets created.. hmmmm?
System still works, until reboot. After reboot SPAN config seems intact. IP config is intact because I can still telnet to it... BUT, all users are gone.
Any ideas? Thanx.. ....Jim Rettew
