My thoughts also that the card was configured for PRI instead of T1. Is there any way to tell with a telnet session or is the only way to find out is with a console connection to the card. Doesn't matter which slot or which T1 I put it on it gives me the same final result. I have tried it on several of the circuits ----- Original Message ----- From: "ISN Support Staff" <support@isn.net> To: "Discussion relating to the 3Com/US Robotics Total Control modem systems." <usr-tc@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Thursday, September 18, 2003 12:50 PM Subject: Re: [USR-TC] Problem with DSP cards
Hi Mike,
It sounds like the card is configured to be used for PRI instead of straight T1. PRI's use 23 channels for phone lines, and then one channel for extra data. Also, if you had the card down for a while, your telco probably automatically set the line to loopback, and you'll have to call them up and get them to put it back in service.

Any help would be appreciated with this problem. I have a USR TCM box with 5 24 modem dsp cards installed. One started malfunctioning so I purchased a "new" card and put it in. It goes through the boot sequence and I have a green RN/FL and a green CAR light and a red LPBK light. The card shows as being UP and modems are UP but there are only 23 modems listed in a list interfaces results. Also I cannot establish a console connection with the card or any of the other cards for that matter. The "new" malfunctioning card will not accept calls. Thanks, Mike
