All, I've got practically *zero* experience, with EdgeServers proper, so excuse my ignorance in advance :) Whilst looking at two EdgeServer's I had laying around, it ocurred to me that I could possibly use them as backup RADIUS servers as well as "local" administration workstations in a couple rather remote POP's I have. They're literally "in the sticks" with analog only service - no CT1 available (no kidding), and a wireless backhaul. Is it possible for an EdgeServer (non-pro or pro) to co-exist with a NetServer, HiperARC, or AS51 card in the same chassis? Do the EdgeServer's "claim" modems on the packet bus regardless of their operational state? For example, if they're loaded with NT and *no* USRMDM/PBUS/COM drivers, does the hardware still automagically attach itself to the packet bus? What about running Linux on them (preferred approach actually)? If I'm running Quads in conjunction with AS51 cards, do the modems still use the packet bus to communicate with the analog NIC's, or is that via the slot's ISA bus? If via ISA bus, wether or not the EdgeServer touches the packet bus becomes a moot point, correct? Yes, I know this sounds a bit on the hokey order, it's just a thought I had to keep my "bolted in" chassis count low, and for that matter, provide a little control over the thing in the way of being able to HW reset the card via the NMC if necessary, and share the redundancy of the chassis power supplies. If none of the above is possible (or feasible), does anyone need an EdgeServer or EdgeServer Pro? :) Thanks in advance for any and all help or advice! Brad
