Well, I have a small update to this *grin*. While doing searching through some of the archives, I saw mention of the hiperarc.mib file. I popped that into the trap handler and I've figured out what my " common.2.2-6.1 common.2.2.0-6.1" problems are: usrUserManTraps. It appears these are being generated when authentication fails on the chassis. I have disabled snmp authentication traps on the hiperarc and on the nmc card, but I can force bad authentications from the hiperarc and still get spewed with these traps. I am probably missing another thing to disable but can not figure out what it is. Thanks for any help! - Trevor

I'm having a problem with unknown traps being sent to the trap handler. The bossman wants us to be alerted when there are problems with circuits yellow/red alarms/ds0's out of service etc, which those all work, except I keep getting "common" traps sent to the handler. I've searched and searched and can not find the mib files for these. I've shut every trap off that I can find, with the exception of the ones we need. I am still getting these. I've gone through every usr mib I could find for the past 4-5 TCS revisions and still can not find anything that can ID these. common.34.3-6.1 common.2.2-6.1 common.2.2.0-6.1
If anyone can help point me to where I could get the mibs for these, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks! -Trevor
