My understanding is that there are 2 popular PRI service types: NI-1 and NI-2
There are then different forms of implementation of each, for example 5ESS (AKA: custom NI-2) is an implementation form of NI-2.
I have four DSPs each connected to a Telus PRI NI-2 service. Each PRI has 1 D channel and 23 B channels.
Notice that the primary switch type in my trunk settings is set to 5ESS. Telus have suggested that I change it to NI-2 and see if that resolves my problem.

Is there any ARC configuration needed to get V.92 working?
When I select the whole card in TCM and go to the interface/V.92 options, V.92 appears to be disabled; however, if I select the lower LED and go to the same options, the V.92 functionality appears to be enabled.
Setting V.92 aside, if a dial-up user is connected and have call waiting and internet notification software running (for example: USRs ICN) when a call comes through the user doesnt get notification when connected to our system. If the user disconnects and reconnects to a different ISP (for example a freebie NetZero account) the notification works! Im not sure what the problem is, whether its my total control config or PRI config. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Ill be switching the primary switch type to NI-2 tomorrow night Ill post the results.
Thanks, Paul.
