Does anyone have any opinions on the stability of
the Total Control's V.90/V.92 code, meaning how well it maintains
connections? We're using what I think is older V.90 code (2.1.9), and I've
noticed that dialin customers with windows-base softmodems, especially older
Rockwell HCF or Lucent LT Winmodems, seem to have more than their share of
disconnects. Often, updating the client side modem software improves the
situation. I'm wondering if updating the HiPer DSP code on our side would
help or hinder.
