Actually, there's a little more that's good: V.92 allows 3 options for client for call waiting - Modem-On-Hold (which you need to have enabled as well), HangUp, and Ignore. I can't tell you how many people have asked me how to make their modems hang up when they have a call waiting. Instead, they're on line, probably retraining to boot. The proposed V.250 commands I just put up at http://808hi.com/56k/v92c.htm show you the increments you can allow for modem-on-hold. Could be a good thing. V.44 should help as well.... better throughput ultimately = shorter sessions...? I've found that the online gamers are usually sophisticated enough to know that if they take a phone call during a game and thus become inactive, they'll probably get "killed" by another player before any timeout would be a problem. Does anyone have any info on V.92 support in the TC line? Have any announcements been made by 3Com? What's your opinion of V.92? Will you need to support it? Nah, not necessary. Those are 10/100 ports. You'd need to have 178 users online simultaneously at a full 56K all downloading at the same time to eat up one 10Mb port. > Boy, I sure feel ignorant now. (usr-tc) Questions about 2nd ethernet port and tcm

I have never set up my second ethernet ports on my hiperarcs, and was wondering if I should. I have a full blown chassis with 2 ps's, 2 hiperarcs, and 14 dsps. If I should, can anyone tell me what or where to look for details on how to make this work? I got a feeling I'm sending too much traffic thru 2 hiper's and two ethernet ports. Also, today I hit the reverse button in the TCM and I noticed that 6 of my 14 dsp's have big red '?''s on them. Don't know what this would mean on the back side.
