Hello List: I finally got 3Com box (1-HiPer NMC, 2-Hiper ARC & 10-Hiper DSP) setup. Today, I connected a T1-PRI ISDN line to test. But as soon as I connect, the line gives busy signal. What setting causes this. /Please Help/. Thank you in advance. Kirti

Hello all, Is it possible to setup a 3 COM Quad V.34 Digital-Analog Modem to have one of its lines to do faxing from a linux server and if so where do I want to look for more information on configuring the service. This is probably a stupid question, but are you reconfiguring SPANs 2 and 3 for D channels? Also, does it break in SPAN 4 as well? I have used D channels on 1 and 4. I don't recall if I ever tried it on SPAN 2 or 3. If this is an NFAS setup, you will need to save and reboot for the changes to take effect properly. Also if it is NFAS, make sure you have your Device/Group setup as the TELCO specified. NFAS primary/backup D channel designation is ARC controlled. I also found that sometimes when a D won't come up you can throw it in lineloop a second or two and then drop the loop to bring it up. Since I have never even seen a multispan DSP much less used one I have absolutely no idea and any thing I might say may be discounted as the ravings of a lunatic. Having said that, Are all the span ports occupied or are you trying to do this with only one? If only one maybe the DSP expects to see the D channel on the first port and not on any of the rest? How to setting Hiper ARC for International/Domestic service simultaneously We want to use one TCH chassis with 2 ARC by 1 telephone number for internet service International link (Public) and Domestic(Private) link only. We have International ip pool and Domestic ip pool also have two different Radius Server for authentication. For internet service for international Modem Users connect as their ID (international) -> each ID get authentication from Radius Server(international) -> get ip address from International ip pool -> use internet service International link For internet service for domestic only Modem Users connect as their ID (domestic only) -> each ID get authentication from Radius Server(domestic) -> get ip address from domestic ip pool -> use internet service domestic link International ip pool : 203.144.218.1/24 size 240 Domestic ip pool : 192.168.10.1/25 size 120 International Radius Server : 203.144.34.173 Port 1645 secret radsecret Domestic Radius Server : 203.144.34.174 Port 1645 secret radsecret Hiper ARC Version : 5.7.2 Thank you so much.

Help Me! MRTG Setting

Dear guys. When I make MRTG for connect users of TCH 1000 I set in CFG file as below Target[tch]: 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.2.1.10.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.2.1.10.0 and it shoes all connect users in chassis. How can split for each slots not total chassis for MRTG? For example, only available 1st slot, 2nd slot, 3rd slot or 1st ~ 5th slots etc.... Need help with HiperDSP and Netservers.

Hello, We are in dire need of some assistance in configuring our HiperDSP cards with Netservers. Here is the issue. Our Telco is using AT&T 5ESS Switches in NI2 mode. We have 3 HiperDSPs 8mb dram/2mb flash(v.3.5.12) with 1 Netserver 16mb dram/4mb flash(v.3.8.1) and HiperNMC 16mb dram/flash(v.8.6.3) We have been unsuccessful in establishing more than 1 HiperDSP getting it functional with our Telco. The first DSP hands all calls without any problems however when it starts to go to the next PRI span however, the line picks up and then hangs up immediately. Our telco is saying that our equipment is doing this. We have tried rebuilding our circuit from scratch and still the last 2 DSPs just drop the calls. I have the startslot set to 1 with the 3 DSPs in the first 3 slots. Slot 4 is the Netserver. All 72 modems are Active, Ready and waiting for calls in the Netserver. Anyone experienced such a problem? Any solution to fixing this? If anyone can assist, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you Rudy K.
