Dear Members and Friends of the T'ang Studies Society,
If you are in sunny Honolulu today, please joins us tonight at the society's first in-person annual meeting in three years. The meeting will be held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Tapa Conference Center, 2nd floor, Honolulu I from 9-11:00 pm (HST). The venue is particularly beautiful because the room opens to a porch with a view of the resort and beach. As usual, all guests are welcome to indulge in appetizers and an open bar. The business portion of the meeting will include annual reports from the president, treasurer, secretary and journal editors. We have decided not to broadcast the officers' reports on Zoom due to the late hour of the meeting and time differences with continental United States and other parts of the world.
If you are attending AAS virtually, the good news is that one of the society's sponsored panels has switched to virtual delivery. The time on Sunday has changed too. The information is below:
Vibrant Matters: Multiplying Fields of Buddhist Merit in Medieval China, Panel MV-17
Time: Sunday, March 27, 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm HST (Hawaii)
Location: Virtual
If you are in Honolulu, I hope to see you tonight!
Best regards,
Jonathan Skaff
Secretary
