Sex convict sent to diagnostic unit FARMINGTON -- A judge ordered a 29-year-old Murray man to serve 90 days at the Utah State Prison diagnostic unit before he is sentenced. Brandon Jay Olsen pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual abuse of a child, dealing harmful materials to a minor and enticing a minor over the Internet on Nov. 1. On Monday, 2nd District Court Judge Glen C. Dawson said the diagnostic evaluation provided by the prison will help him with the sentencing because it will also contain a psychosexual evaluation. Olsen was arrested in February 2004 after Woods Cross police were contacted by the Division of Child and Family Services. Police said Olsen met two 13-year-old girls over the Internet, drove from his home to West Bountiful, where he picked up the girls, took them for a ride and then exposed himself to them, talked in a vulgar sexual manner and touched the girls' breasts.
