WOW 33 riders last Sunday on the last warm-up leading up to the Winter Escape scheduled for this Saturday in Mesquite, NV. Quick reminders - Start time is 9:00 AM West Coast time from the Parking lot next to the Oasis Package store . its a giant lot across from the OASIS RV Park Arizona is not on Daylight Savings time so we could be in 3 time zones in the course of 50 miles, but thats another story. . Its going to be warm so hydration will be important - Perhaps choking down liquids 12 to 24 hours prior to ride time wouldnt be a bad idea. Liquids served in the casino, however would probably be a bad idea, diruetics dont help in the heat. Carry enough water to last for 30 to 50 miles - We pass through lovely Beaver Run AZ about 20 miles into the ride, complete with a store stop, after that is a long climb to the Utah State line with no shade and temps forecast to be somewhere around 80 degrees. Lunch will be at the intersection of SR 91 and Bluff street in St George - plenty of sandwich options then we turn around and climb a little and coast a little back to Mesquite.
