BEAT THE HEAT FOR SOME EARLY LOTOJA TRAINING ON JULY 21 Mt Green to Upton POC: <mailto:eric.hulphers@erau.edu> Eric Hulphers 801-726-0670 Saturday, July 21 Start Time 0545 a.m. Eric Hulphers will be leading a ride from Mt Green, up to East Canyon, over the Hogs Back to Henefer, then to Echo, up Chulk Creek Canyon to Upton and then back. It is 115 miles, and 9,800 feet of climbing. Meet at 0545 at the Sinclair in Mt Green, and leave promptly at 0600 am. If 6:00 a.m. is too early, you could meet the group in Henefer at the Memorial park at about 7:15 a.m. The 0600 am group should be coming through Henefer between 0730 and 0800. This group will ride to Upton, back to Henefer, up and over the Hogs Back, to East Canyon Park, and then back to Henefer for a total of 65 miles, with 7000 feet of climbing. Please let Eric know if you are planning on meeting him in Henefer. Henefer to Chulk Creek Canyon POC: <mailto:james.evans@hill.af.mil> James Evans 801-391-2075 Saturday July 21, 08:15 AM 68 Miles Rolling Hills Location: Starting in Henefer Pioneer Park, riding to Coalville, then up Chulk Creek Canyon and back to Henefer. Meet at 0815; be on the road by 0830. Climbing: top off at 7166 feet elevation, the climbs are fair, nothing real steep, more like rollers. There is a good opportunity for early turn around at Coalville if you are looking for a shorter distance. The park is approximately .5 miles East on East Canyon Road (SR 65) from Main Street in Henefer on the left hand side of the road. In light of the Snowbasin demo Bikers Edge will be offering Demo Days at varies locations along the Wasatch Front: July 21 Emigration Canyon (Dirt parking lot across from Hoogle Zoo) August 4 Snowbasin (Main Parking Lot) August 18 Ogden Bench (Parking Lot at 29th Street) September 1 Emigration Canyon (Dirt parking lot across from Hoogle Zoo) September 15 Snowbasin (Main Parking Lot) Participants must bring a current drivers license, helmet, and pedals. Some pedals will be provided for those without, but if you have them, bring them!
