Join us, and members of the Wasatch Mountain Club on Bob WrightÂs Annual Death Valley Trip. The number of riders is limited and will be on a first to pay basis. The cost of the trip will be $60.00 with any excess (if any) refunded after the trip. Mail checks payable to Mike Hawe and mail them to him at 10309 South 1980 East, Sandy, UT 84092-4385. If you sign up for this trip the $60.00 is non refundable. There will be bicycling, hiking and just hanging around. We will stay at the Furnace Creek Campground and do day rides from there. Showers are available for a fee nearby, in the past this fee has been $5.00. Some years we have been allowed to use the swimming pool in conjunction with the shower fee but for the past fee years this hasnÂt been the case. We will encourage car pooling as much as possible. ItÂs about a 550 mile drive each way via Las Vegas. We do group cooking. Meal are included from breakfast on Friday Feb 10 through breakfast on Monday Feb 13. Camp site charges are included in the $60.00 but you are responsible for your own transportation costs and park entry fees. Weather is normally comfortably warm during the day and not to cold at night. Precipitation is usually minimal except for last year when the desert bloomed like never before.
