I have to agree with Dave -- Until is a beautiful song. It feels like a standard and has the potential to become one. I think Sting fans haven't given Until the response it deserves. Had it been written during a lull in Sting's career (i.e. between two distant albums), I think everyone would have appreciated it more, but after two years of touring, a new live album, a mini tour, and countless TV appearances, this new song was overshadowed by Sting over-saturation. The Silverlake performance really highlights the beauty of this song though... I actually much prefer the live version that was sent around a while ago - the one with, I think, Dave Hartley on piano. From a live perspective, the Silverlake concert was nice, but musically I prefer either the TV performance or the studio one. I *loathe*, BTW, the Silverlake All This Time - Sting messes with the melody line and doesn't, IMO, add anything interesting to it; it seems like he's being lazy and just singing things that sound like they're interesting, at least for a singer.
