During rehearsal, Andy didn't sound "raw." They sounded like The Police. Then during the live show, Andy drifted and did his own thing. Then the harsh unPolice-like sound was compounded by the addition of "vocal" guests. ----- Original Message ----- From: police-bounces+fredberthelot=earthlink.net@mailman.xmission.com <police-bounces+fredberthelot=earthlink.net@mailman.xmission.com> To: police@mailman.xmission.com <police@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Fri Jan 05 10:45:14 2007 Subject: Re: [Police] follow up the 1st few times i saw/heard the HOF session, I too was disappointed by andy's "sound". but i have learned to live with it - to the point that i actually like it now. i mean, think about it...he had no affects to manipulate...foot petals or any of that. so he was really playing "raw"... --- Tara and Bruce <tara.bruce@rogers.com> wrote:

The potential news is exciting indeed. So much
stuff has happened lately between the DVD, books etc. that it seems to be building. It seems to me when the Police got together for that HOF gig there was no build and no hype and it was kind of a letdown to me. Nobody even knew about it hardly. And VH1 didnt even show all the shongs they played - cut some of it!
more -
and didnt hype it hardly which made me wonder whats up with that. Are the Police popularity waning in a big way or what. Speaking of the HOF gig and I love Andy but - is it just me or did Andy's guitar sound horrible. I was befuddled by the murky sound. Did anyone else listen to this or was it just me... I am assuming it was just a bad set up at the HOF and wouldnt normally happend but found it odd. David

oh really? sorry about that, fred - i was unaware of his sound during rehearsal. i actually went to the waldof to catch it, but i got there too early. only thing i accomplished that day was to say 'congratulations' to miles, who looked at me like i had 6 heads! rich --- Fred Berthelot <F.Berthelot@Ramsa.com> wrote:
