Tomorrow, we'll see..... - Will Jeremy re-appear to confront those who have cast aspersions on his character, or will he cleverly deflect the attention away from himself once again by starting another inflammatory argument ? - Will the vitriolic political and personal arguments continue, or will we all be feelin' the (Sacred) love ? - Will Nigel-of-the-accurate-and-hysterical-observations ever post again ? - W.W.S.D. ? As humurous as this may appear, it is exactly what cause's the recent events we have witnessed here. Ross PS: For the record, I did not read ONE inflammatory remark from Jeremy. Rather they were posted ABOUT him. He was simply defending himself. -----Original Message----- From: police-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:police-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Bob McKenzie Sent: 25 November 2003 11:00 To: police@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Police] Police soap opera Tomorrow, we'll see..... - W.W.S.D. ? You missed a good one then Ross. :) J.
This is getting mildly if not completely ridiculous. I do not feel I have to defend anything, especially to someone who can't even post under their own name no less. Whatever the case, what little money I have ever made from selling the odd sting cd to people who are offering to pay because they have nothing to trade in return is far outweighed by the money that I have personally put into stings pocket. When you have been collecting for over 20 years, you get a little tired of sending 200 shows per month for nothing in return. I do not know of anyone one us long term collectors that feels otherwise. This is a HUGE step away from having a major bootlegging operation as it was referred to in an earlier post. I have been on this list for a long long time. I have been an avid sting fan, collector and concert go'er for a long long time. I feel I have contributed to this list for years, have written endless concert reviews that would go unknown if it were not for me. I know who my friends are, and they know who I am, and that is good enough for me. I am leaving the mailing list now anyways as it now longer a good source of anything other than endless negativity. Never have I seen a mailing list so full of people that hate the point of the mailing list so much. Sad really Jeremy On 11/25/03 1:00 PM, "Bob McKenzie" <hoser_3317@hotmail.com> wrote:

Jeremy, that's probably the most pathetic excuse I've ever heard for copyright theft. To justify selling bootlegs (200 a month doesn't seem like a 'minor' bootlegging operation if you ask me) with the fact that you assume you've put so much money into Stings pocket... What nonsense, really. Would you walk into McDonalds and help yourself to the food and start giving it away, simply because you feel you've paid them enough already? If you feel hard done by for not getting anything in return for sending out 200 bootlegs a month, then stop doing it... Not only will you be doing your social life a great favour, but you'll also be running much less of a risk of grabbing the RIAA's attention... Don't leave the list because of all this recent stuff... It'll blow over. J. -----Original Message----- This is getting mildly if not completely ridiculous. Well at least my vocabulary contains enough words that I don't need to resort to childish name calling like that. I'll learn to read, you learn to write. What a team we'll be.
