Hi folks, Friday I had the chance to see our guitar hero live in action. The place was De Boerderij in Zoetermeer/Holland. The concert was said to be soldout as this was a 'doublebill' concert: Andy Summers in fact opened the night for Jan Akkermann. At 9.10 PM the show started. Andy played mostly tracks from his new album "Earth & Sky" which was sold after the concert outside. He also played two tracks from the 1990 album "Charming snakes" and one track from "The Last Dance of Mr. X" (1997). Highlights for me were the start of the titletrack "Earth & Sky" which sounds very similar to the "Mysterious Barricades" era and of course the encore "Blues for snake" (1989, "The Golden Wire"). The only sad thing was that he didn't play any POLICE tune, not even "Message in a bottle"...:-( But at last Andy was in a good mood and he even remembered the place (as he played there 2 years ago).
