Did anyone catch Elton's "live by request" concert on A&E tonight? Apparently he was taking calls from listeners who would then request songs for him to perform. I happened to turn the TV to A&E just as Elton took a call from our man Sting. It was pretty funny, although Elton felt it necessary to revive that old tantric sex wheeze: he joked that all the songs on Sting's new album took eight hours to perform. Anyhoo, after saying that he always wanted to hear Elton sing "Roxanne", Sting requested "Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word". Not one of my favorites, but then again, "Roxanne" has always been one of my least liked Police songs. Hope that doesn't get me kicked off the list. ;) jENNIFER P.S. I also found it funny that Sting and Elton addressed each other by queeny nicknames like "darling". Who are they, Patsy and Edina all of a sudden?
