Yeah, the whole thing sucks pretty badly. I can't stand the beautiful and unusual version of Don't Stand So Close to Me that segues into When We Dance, and I should obviously have my ears checked because I love the new arrangement of Roxanne. As for The Hounds of Winter, I like the version on this CD better than the original--obviously I need my head examined. Why don't you listen to the CD before making up your mind? Clarissa

I know I will buy it just because I'm nostalgic, something I think STin(g)(k) has become, I don't think any of the people who are singing the praise of Oysterhead need to have their head examined. Oysterhead is new, original, from a musicians stand point " Nothing I've ever heard Live is better". Sting is a musical genius, I think all of these people appreciate that, !!! but Sting has shot himself in the foot in my opinion, he is consistantly acting like an ego maniac, he thinks he is everything and a bowl of rice. He has treated his former band mates with much disrespect. Anyone who has followed Sting from the beggining must be disappointed with his behavior and music. Need I mention that everytime I turn on the TV I am ready to puke at this monster he has become. Pop sellout, Commercial Sellout, Designer Sellout, need I go on, Sting has lost musical appeal, that was why I was a fan!!!! I wonder If some of you really know the musician Sting is? I wonder how he could move into this Nsync Pop Icon role? Whenever I am disheartened, I submerse myself into my vast vault of Police/Sting before BND and I forget the computerized rhythms of a brand new day!!! Like I said before Go Stewart!! I Predict Sting forms a Police reunion within a few years. ( this is what I think will happen). Right now Sting is pop's Grandpa, Stewart is Rocks Elder!!!! I will speak for myself, anyone who plays to a click track in a live performance is killing the ebb and flow of music. Music is alive with a heartbeat that changes with given emotions. Sting's music is computer driven, The last time I checked Mucicians were human, Not machines!!! Nothing personal meant by this, it is my opinon, and quite a few others as I am sure you have read. Stings latest album is another Greatest hits compilation, how many times can you buy the same thing in a different package, I'm surprised there were no rap remakes on this one. Terrence, are you really a musician? It's not like he is sequencing every song. Like the Police, he uses it on selective songs. I hope you are aware there is sequenced music on Oyeterhead's album as well. The background music on the web site is looped sequenced music! Sting's latest album is a live album, his first in 15 bloody years... and instead of taking the easy route out of releasing one of the numerous shows they recorded, he gave us something much better with new arrangements. Well David I believe I am a musician, I have an Album (The TecTonics) www.stingus.com, which I played drums, bass, guitar, vocals on, I wrote three of the songs on the album, I believe they are good songs. It sold nationwide and in europe, so yes I would say I am a musician. I have produced over 50 albums at Sheehan Sound Engineering Studios in Michigan. www.sheehansound.com. Digitally remastered 100's of Police and Sting recordings, what have you done ? Just curious As to the other stuff, those are my opinions right now, they are always subject to change, You can miss quote me all over the place, but when you do that next time please include the good stuff I said as well. Sting is a awesome musician. I would just like to see more jamming in his shows, like on previous tours. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a lifelong Sting fan, after all I ante up the big bucks to see his shows, buy all his albums. I also will point out things that I don't like. This issue is exhausted please move onto something else everybody is fully aware of what I wrote. I stand by my comments, and I know everyone is sick and tired of this non-sense. Terrance, all that talent and that's the best you can say about Sting. The sequesnce music, well it was a smart decision to use Kipper to help reinvent the Sting sound, if he didn't do it, there is a very good chance people would have said Sting was boring and monotonous. Kipper added a much needed twist to the mix. Without him, who knows if BND would have been another flop like Mercury Falling. I enjoyed Mercury Falling but IMNSHO, BND is better musically and commercially much more successful! We should be happy he didn't go down the "PoP Mart" U2 route, now THAT is overdoing the sequence and taking the soul out of music. Final post here! Yep, I love the way I saw the BND tour 3 times over the course of a year and the setlist did not change - this well over $300 later on a corpoate-sponsored tour. I love the way that I went to... Nope, I will not bore anyone. My stance is this: Sting has done something that I am unable to believe: he has put out an album that I cannot get behind, that I will not buy. Perhaps it is because I am still wallowing in disappointment over the BND tour; perhaps it is because I still, despite what I continue to read here, think BND is a poor album compared to everything else; maybe it is because I think Sting has UNFORTUNATELY reached the Billy Joel/Elton John/Phil Collins point of mailing it in to adult contemporary radio, beyond the point of challenging himself, either in the studio or on the stage, especially in light of seeing both Andy and Stewart perform in the lsat year, pushing envelops, challening themselves musically.
